In-depth: Bloomfield Park

One of my major beats at Crain’s Detroit Business was Oakland County. The Bloomfield Park project was billed as being worth $1 Billion by its developer. Since Bloomfield Park was in the heart of Oakland County, I did extensive reporting on it. Then, one day the editor called me into her office and said Crain’s wouldn’t be doing any more stories on Bloomfield Park and that was that.

Today, the land remains undeveloped except for some partially finished parking structures.
