County wants townships to justify safety costs
Officials from Deerfield and Marathon townships are being asked to justify hitting up Lapeer County taxpayers for help in paying for policing services – while costing those same taxpayers more than $250,000 in a legal battle over a 2016 voter-approved EMS millage.
